Hidden text functionality?

There are two recent posts that use the Hidden Text feature, that leaves the tag "There is hidden text below. Click Show to see it." Except when I click "Show," it doesn't show.

Tried in Firefox, Edge, and Chrome.

Any guesses?

Same for me, the hidden text doesn't show.

I'm on mobile rn, and it's also not working for me. Interestingly, if I try the functionality for my post and preview it, then it does work under preview.

Workaround is to just quote the post and read in the editor. But not sure why it doesn't seem to be reading clicks to display at all.

Right, it isn’t working for me in the comment I wrote. “Show” was fine while I composed and checked on the comment.

So the older posts still seem to be broken but there's a new post using the hide text function and that one is working for me. So... Kinda fixed???

The Hide function has been difficult and unpredictable for several years now, but it's unfortunately out of our hands whether or not it gets (or stays) fixed.

Would it be worth flagging non-functional posts, to suggest that they might be edited to use an alternative method? Just thinking that if we need a Band-Aid fix for a semi-consistent tech problem, it should be a semi-consistent band-aid...
