Can you actually delete a post?

How do you delete an old post?
As a general rule we do not delete posts. We will listen to all requests for a post to be deleted and there are circumstances under which we will delete a post, but for the most part we do not. If you have a post you would like to have deleted please report it and let us (mods) know why you want it deleted.
We made this decision to avoid having strange gaps on the board. If a user makes a post and other users answer, and then the original user was able to delete the post all the other comments are gone too. And if a user makes a comment on a post and another user answers them, if the first comment is deleted the second comment makes no sense.
It is always okay to report a post to ask if it can be deleted. We don't guarantee that it will be, but we will always consider your request.
