What sounds like a metaphor for agender people is maybe actually just a bug?

I tried entering something in the "gender" field and it's neither displayed on my profile nor on the sidebar next to my posts. Could this be fixed? Or did I just overlook it?

@siranoyd, I can see your gender listed in your sidebar - may be something to do with the interaction of the forum and your browser/mobile device? I know some browsers have trouble with forums sometimes.

Actually, maybe I'm talking nonsense - I can see your pronouns, but not a gender entry! So maybe it is missing after all, silly me.

Hi Siranoyd, thanks for the heads-up. You're right, filling in that field doesn't seem to do anything. I'll check in with the other mods about this.
