Could you make some sample posts or a guide for new people?

Got an idea to help make this a better place?

Could you make some sample posts or a guide for new people?

Hi,

I just signed up (YAY!) but it took me a looong time to work up the courage. I didn't want to make an account unless I could get a sense of what the forums were like. Only being able to see posts about lists of rules and the violations was really overwhelming for me when deciding if I should make an account, It felt more like "enforcement" than "welcome to our awesome community" and that doesn't represent the bulk of the community to me.

if you could make some sample public posts that are fictional, but show the essence of the community, that would be super helpful to new people before they join, or even a "thinking of joining? we have these kinds of posts/forums". For example, just knowing you have a Jedi Hugs forum is awesome.

Thank you for your consideration.
