Another BBCode Suggestion

So, on various other forums, usually for spoilers (iirc), that hides and minimizes the text/image displayed. I think this would be a great addition to the forum, to use in place of larger spoilers or trigger warnings, even large images (if one isn't able, or unsure of how to resize them). (one of th...

Re: Searching for anti-harassment-volunteers!

Re: Write our new anti harassment-policy!

If this site were to go the volunteer pool that tbac suggested, one idea would be to utilize the Usergroups feature, found within the User control panel. Either by applying in a thread to join (and then being invited), or by applying through the Usergroup tab. (depending on how the tech works). If w...

Re: TW tags and bad language: A Discussion

Okay, I think Editing the post, then PMing the user, rather then posting in the thread is better. Reasoning: the Mods can still add a not in the post, explaining why it was edited, and there is no guarantee that the user will see the post. Nor does the user always know or understand why their posts ...

Re: Write our new anti harassment-policy!

I think that it should be volunteers, say a team of 5, with a few people on back up. I'll have more to say later on that (I'll edit this post). Added two paragraphs down. My question is, who are we going to go to if we have a problem with a decision made by the team? is it going to be one of the spa...

Re: Can we have a place to talk about activism?

Would the current event forum be a good place for it, until there is a subforum?

Re: Write our new anti harassment-policy!

[*] What do the team do if they hear about a user who has harassed people in non-Awkward spaces but not broken any rules in our forums/meetups? Nothing, unless another user feels that this person may harass or stalk them, then take appropriate action. [*] How strict/lenient will we be when it comes...

Re: Write our new anti harassment-policy!

Hi folks! This hasn't really generated much discussion, huh? Well, we said we'd give you a week, but we're going to extend it because it's really important to us that this is a community-led plan. We don't want to be the ones dictating what will happen if you get hurt - we want you to tell us what ...

Re: Write our new anti harassment-policy!

Could there be a policy to notify members by PM, whether they're active or not, if someone turns up and is asking questions about them? Years ago, one of my exes joined a forum I had been on (but wasn't currently active on) and started asking everyone for information about me, and one of the mods r...
