Re: Tapatalk closed

If I had a tail I'd be wagging it so hard my whole body wobbled. :D

Re: Help us compile a master post on ablism

One point I would like to see in the master post is "Remember that there are people with various disabilities on this very forum." Because it seems like a lot of instances stem from the assumption that everyone here is non-disabled/sane/neurotypical when this is emphatically not true.

Re: Reclaiming slurs (TW for use of slurs)

I think there is a lot of value in the communities concerned, e.g. us pwd (to use the one I'm part of) being able to get together and discuss what we feel would be a good policy, rather than having one imposed. I think that's where my discomfort with mods AS MODS (since I think there's at least one ...

Re: Reclaiming slurs (TW for use of slurs)

Actually, the solution of warning for threads, or warning at the top of your (general your) post feels like a pretty fair compromise to me. Saying "You have to cover even reclaimed slurs" feels kind of gross to me, like saying we shouldn't be reclaiming them. But saying "nobody can be bothered by th...

Re: Help us compile a master post on ablism

Wow. I firmly and decisively object to the idea that "if people using crazy in a derogatory manner bothers you, get professional help" is even a remotely good way, let alone "ideal" for dealing with that disagreement. It's ugly, dismissive, and implying that someone who may have a strong reaction to...

Re: Reclaiming slurs

Yeah normally I refer to myself as crippled and crazy. I don't here because of the policies on language. Doesn't bother me that much because there are some disability spaces where the use of those terms is strongly contested, but it does sometimes grate a bit.

Re: Another BBCode Suggestion

So here's a couple screen shots of what the forums look like on my mobile browser vice Tapatalk that will hopefully demonstrate why the app is way easier for me to use. Tapatalk: large text size that doesn't require side to side scrolling, non-migraine-inducing white on black. http://tapatalk.images...

Re: Another BBCode Suggestion

Wondering if anything came of this? Tapatalk *does*respect the spoiler tag, and I guess I'm kind of wondering why a separate TW tag was made that's an accessibility barrier to participation for those of us primarily on mobile devices. Not everyone can afford a computer, particularly if not employabl...

Re: Tapatalk on Android

It is Frnds of Captain Awkward on Tapatalk! I was able to successfully add it a while ago after lots of searching for it.

Heads up that the TW tag DOES NOT WORK in Tapatalk. You will see everything hidden under it.
